After everyone thought that Megan Thee Stallion and 1501 Entertainment CEO Carl Crawford's feud is over, a new legal complaint indicates otherwise.
The legal complaint came on the heels of Crawford's "olive branch" as he hyped up Stallion in an Instagram post celebrating her impact and teasing her future plans.
Megan Thee Stallion, Carl Crawford Feud Not Over
According to a new TMZ report, Megan Thee Stallion's battler with 1501 Entertainment, her label, is entering a steeper descent as a newly-obtained legal document says that Crawford, the label's CEO was "draining all its money" without paying her.
Megan claimed that Crawford is transferring all the comnpany's funds to his own acounts, and others, to avoid paying up for the lawsuit. Per Meg, 1501 has less than $10,000 left in the bank's account. A huge chunk of it was said to have been deposited in other pockets.
Where did the money go? She claimed the money goes straight to J. Prince, Gee Roberson, both execs on the label, and you guessed it, Crawford too. She is now asking the court to impose "extraordinary restrictions" to the case to check. (via Billboard)
Carl Crawford Apologizes to Megan Thee Stallion
Crawford shocked many when he posted an apology to Megan Thee Stallion on Instagram.
"We want the entire Community of Texas to help 1501 Certified Entertainment welcome Queen of the Hotties, Megan Thee Stallion, back to the City of Houston," he wrote.
Fans of Meg were confused as to what that meant, but it was a good indication that 1501 Entertainment is ready to hang that white flag for a cease-fire already.
In the past, Crawford recanted his scathing statements to Megan.
"I never had problems with Megan Thee Stallion, but this social media stuff turned really sour. You take this social media stuff out of it, and we won't have a problem," he said in an interview. "You won't hear me mention Megan Thee Stallion's name unless it's a big-time interview."
Given the new development, it is not known whether the ceasefire would still proceed as Crawford wanted or if this would ensue another back and forth between the rapper and the label.
Megan Thee Stallion is suing the label for a million dollars for royalties in an attempt to be freed from a contract she claimed to be dubious in the first place.
