Friday evening at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, Janet Jackson started off her 'Together Again Tour' with an electrifying performance. It feels as if the seasoned performer was not a day in her 50s!
The 56-year-old singer performed 34 songs over the course of two hours, accompanied by four male performers. She performed some of her greatest songs, including "All For You," "Scream," "Rhythm Nation," "What Have You Done for Me Lately," "Miss You Much," and "Black Cat," to the delight of the audience.
This summer, the five-time Grammy winner's highly anticipated six-act tour will travel across North America, showcasing her 40-year career.
She also performed the songs "Funny How Time Flies (When You're Having Fun)," "I Get Lonely," and "Together Again,"which she had previously dedicated to her late brother Michael Jackson (2010) and father Joe Jackson (2018) at previous festivals.
Janet announced earlier this week that she will be selling a massive quantity of classic memorabilia and donating a portion of the proceeds to charity.
On May 21, the musical icon will auction over 800 items, including outfits and costumes from music videos and tours.
The auction will take place live at the Hard Rock Cafe in New York and online via Julien's Live. Among the items are outfits Jackson donned on her Rhythm Nation tour, microphones adorned with jewels, and CDs commemorating the platinum status of her chart-topping albums. Among the outfits made available to fans is a black suede vest with silver buttons that she wore in the music video for "That's The Way Love Goes."
In the original video, she paired the top with a white collar inspired by Native Americans while exposing her toned stomach. A further highlight of the collection is a white long-sleeve shirt with puckered sleeves that Janet wore in the classic music video for "Scream."

With a price tag of $7 million, its elegant black-and-white music video was one of the most expensive music videos ever produced. Janet wore a black pinstripe suit in her 1989 Alright music video before revitalizing it for her Velvet Rope tour, which is included in the auction.
During her performance at the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards, her black mesh dress with a solitary leather sleeve caused a sensation. During her 2008 Rock Witchu tour, she wore a red jumpsuit with chainmail epaulets and affixed long black wigs at the waist. At the 2005 Vanity Fair Oscars celebration, the singer donned a Badgley Mischka ivory off-the-shoulder gown with furry shoulders, which is also being auctioned.
