Jennifer Lopez introduced her new collaborator Iggy Azalea and teased their upcoming "Booty (Remix)."
Backed by an orchestra and full band, Azalea stood confident on a layered pedestal as ballerinas danced in front of her, wearing mesh facemasks with spider web visuals in the background. Rita Ora came out dressed in an identical black jumpsuit to sing her part on "Black Widow."
The cameras panned over the crowd, showing Azalea's former collaborator Charli XCX mouthing her parts. Taylor Swift, Jordan Sparks, and Katy Perry were also caught singing along.
Proving herself to her haters, Azalea showed off her spot-on live rap skills, not missing a beat (or falling off stage). The live orchestra and band really added to the sound as well.
Azalea was nominated for Video of the Year, Best Female (two nods), Best Pop (two nods), Best Collaboration, and Best Art Direction for her songs "Fancy" featuring Charli XCX and Ariana Grande's "Problem."
Azalea and Ora were just one live act tonight during the performance heavy VMAs. Ariana Grande, Jessie J, Nicki Minaj, Taylor Swift, Sam Smith, Usher, 5 Seconds of Summer, Maroon 5, and Beyoncé also took the stage.
