We've all been seeing quite a bit of these ice bucket challenges these days, but this one may be our favorite. John Mayer recently took to his YouTube page and posted a video of him taking the challenge in a rather honorable way. But before he did so, the guitarist dedicated it to his challenger: musician-composer Jason Becker.
Before getting to the bucket, the Continuum musician gives a little background on Becker, calling him a "phenomenal musician" who unfortunately cannot play guitar anymore because he suffers from the very disease the money donated by each one taking the ice bucket challenges aims to eliminate. "Jason can no longer play the guitar because he has the disease," Mayer states.
He adds, "Jason, this one is for you. Thank you for nominating me," just before playing along to Becker's tune "Air" off his album Perpetual Burn, which was released back in 1998. And just as you could expect from John Mayer, it was rather unique and absolutely fantastic.

Immediately following the performance, the musician moves outside his Hollywood home and drenches himself with ice water, calling it "very refreshing." He then goes onto re-nominate the very people Becker nominated in his ice bucket video –– David Lee Roth and Eddie Van Halen.
