Motley Crue has been playing for decades now, but it doesn't mean that members of the group don't experience negativity such as not being inspired to write more music. Thankfully, a new addition to their band gave them a ray of hope.
Speaking to Planet Rock, Nikki Sixx revealed that the band became inspired again after John 5 became their latest official member last year.
The artist clarified that feeling uninspired is nothing against any other musicians they play with, but he noted that it's different when a new member plays with them.
"We're still playing the same songs that people wanna hear but it kind of like re-inspires you. And I'm sure the same thing would happen if they got a new bass player. They're like 'oh wow, he's attacking it differently.' So it's never about how bad anybody was," he added. (via 92.9 The Lake)
John 5 Inspires Mötley Crüe
Elsewhere in the conversation, Sixx revealed that not only did John 5 inspire them when it comes to living performance, but also whenever they record in the studio.
The bassist further explained that they are happy where they are at the moment because it's a nice time for them to write songs in the present due to their inspiration.
Despite having a new guitarist, the band never forgets their history with Mick Mars as they will continue to support him in whatever path he desires to go to.
Mötley Crüe New Album
The recent interview comes after Tommy Lee took to his official Instagram account to tease fans that Motley Crue is recording new music.
"Hit that mother f****** record button Mr. Rock!!! Go!," he wrote, confirming that they are working with renowned record producer Bob Rock.
This is not the first time the producer collaborated with the band as he previously produced the classic 1989 album "Dr. Feelgood."
Aside from Motley Crue, Rock also worked with Metallica, Cher, Joan Jett, Gavin Rossdale, and many known artists in the industry from different genres.
John 5 along with other members of the band was present at the recording session as seen on the photos that the drummer posted.
As of this writing, the band has not officially announced a title, release date, tracklist, and featuring artists for their next album.
