Taylor Swift shocked and worried fans when she went onstage with a huge cut on her palm, but the singer eventually took to social media to reassure fans that she was alright.
According to Billboard, the "Anti-Hero" singer was performing the second night of her three shows in Houston when fans noticed that she had a serious-looking injury on her left palm.
The singer, as if unfazed by the cut, proceeded to perform the remainder of the song as if nothing happened.
Fans began taking pictures and videos of the cut and uploaded them on social media, and they began to share their worries about the injury.
Fans' Worries
No one is sure when Swift got injured, but some suspect that it might have happened sometime between her "Folklore" and "Reputation" sets because prior to coming on stage wearing her iconic black-and-red snake ensemble, her hand was injury-free.
"Her wrist is fine by the end of 'Tolerate It' and by the time she walks down the stage for ['...Ready For It?'] you see the blood near her palm," a fan pointed out.
"No, but wtf happened to her hand?" Another fan wrote. "The Cut is so deep from both sides!"
"Can you explain to me what happened to Taylor swift's hand last night in Houston on the Eras Tour?"
"Men canceling their shows because they hit their toe in the edge of the bed while Taylor Swift [performed] a 3-hour show with half of her hand missing."
"Because of Taylor's injury... if she needs a new hand she can have mine!"
Taylor Swift is Okay
Since the "Lavender Haze" singer is just as chronically online as the rest of her fandom, she immediately knew that her injury would be a cause for concern.
After the show, she took to social media to share some pictures from the concert: "Loving this tour so much because of the passion these crowds put into it all - seriously can't wait for Atlanta."
She then reassured fans that she is well taken care of, and what exactly happened backstage to cause the cut: "PS for those asking how I cut my hand, I'm totally fine and it was my fault completely - tripped on my dress hem and fell in the dark backstage while running to a quick change - braced my fall with my palm."
"It was all very Mercury in retrograde coded," she then joked. "Don't worry about me I'm good."
