50 Cent Featured On First Episode Of Music Choice 'Chronicles': Discusses Eminem, Critics

50 Cent will be the first musical artist featured on Music Choice's new show Chronicles.

The program will focus on artist interviews, as well as provide exclusive looks at their lives and careers. 50's episode will air Tuesday, Aug. 26 at 8 p.m. ET.

Music Choice released the following statement:

In its first season, Chronicles will feature 50 Cent, Jason Derulo, B.o.B., Fat Joe, DJ Cassidy, Aloe Blacc and Daddy Yankee. For seven consecutive weeks, Chronicles will give viewers unprecedented access and an up-close-and-personal look at some of the biggest names in music as they put themselves on the record and reflect on their journeys to become the artists they are today.

HipHopWired notes that two preview clips are already up online. The rapper rambles a bit incoherently about wealth and image in the first:

"You're gonna tell a guy who actually has the money that he shouldn't rap like he doesn't have the money because he's conscious of how far he's come," he says. "When the guy who doesn't have money is talking about money, he's not going to say anything because you're like him, and you actually want to have money at some point, so you're thinking about those things, also."

The second video is much more interesting, with 50 basically saying Eminem is the best rapper on the planet.

"The one Grammy I have is for "Crack a Bottle." I couldn't even have that without Em," he says. "You know, and that's why I have so much value for him, not just in my career, just in my life. He's one of my best friends because I can trust that he's gonna be honest with his constructive criticism when it's time to listen to the music before it goes out."

"Hip-hop is black music, without question. And unfortunately for some people, it's tough to accept that you've got a white artist that does it better than black artists. It is what it is. You could get whoever you feel like is the best black artist and stand them face to face in a room with Em, and he'll eat that n---- alive."

Wait, really?

"Right now, if you had 'em prepare themselves in whatever way they would have to prepare themselves to come battle, and I bet you, I bet everything I have - that that n----'s meatloaf," 50 says.

Tune in this Tuesday for the start of what could be a very intriguing artist series.
