Is Poison disbanding soon?

After the creation of Poison in the 1980s, its bandmates started going through highs and lows that affected the band's status. The cracks in the members' relationships became more prominent after they dropped several hits, including "Nothin' but a Good Time" and "Every Rose Has Its Thorn."

Although the band crashed down due to internal rivalries, Poison has been dropping more songs in the past decades. As for its current and future status, Bret Michaels set the record straight about the potential split.

Bret Michaels Says Poison Is Never Breaking Up

The founding member is gearing up ahead of his "Parti-Gras" solo tour. Although he also focuses on his solo endeavors, he still makes time to create music with Poison.

In an exclusive interview with People, Michaels said Poison "is not going anywhere," debunking the possibility of the band breaking up soon.

"There's a brotherhood there," he said. "We're never breaking up."

Poison bandmates were tested when Michaels and guitarist C.C. DeVille got involved in the infamous backstage fistfight at the 1991 MTV Video Music Awards. The guitarist was fired and replaced by Richie Kotzen until 1993 before Blues Saraceno took over the role for three years.

Michaels assured fans that, while things go bad between him and DeVille, they reportedly get along 99 percent of the time.

Poison showed its brotherhood in its already-concluded "The Stadium Tour" in September in Las Vegas, Nevada. It previously had the "Nothin' But A Good Time" tour in 2018.

The band, however, has not released a new album since 2002's "Hollyweird," but it dropped an album of song covers in 2007.

Will Poison Release a New Album?

As for Poison's album-making, Bobby Dall previously said that the band should already be making a studio album. However, the bassist candidly said he did not know whether it would ever happen.

Dall explained that Poison members have other commitments; some also start dealing with health issues. With that, he said it is only a matter of time to determine whether they would drop a new material.

On the other hand, Michaels assured People that he is still fast and healthy at 60. He previously suffered from a series of health issues, including a near-fatal brain hemorrhage, type 1 diabetes, and a stroke.
