Fans were not expecting Jack Harlow to release an album anytime soon, but he surprised them with an announcement that his next musical project will drop this week; find out more information about the new record below.

Taking to his social media accounts, the musician shocked fans after sharing the official album cover of his next project titled "Jackman."

The photo features him shirtlesss standing in the middle of the street near the garbage bins.

In the caption, the rapper wrote, "Jackman. My new album." Before revealing the release date, which will be on Friday, April 28, 2023. As of this writing, the musician has not shared more information about the album.

In other updates, NME reported that the musician will perform at the Zouk Nightclub in Las Vegas on May 27. He will return to the same venue on July 8.

After the surprise announcement, fans immediately bombarded the reply section with their reactions, with one user writing, "Omg!! A new album??!! Are we getting another tour??!! Please say yes!"

"Really hyped man, hope it's got confetti and sweet action vibes fr," another one wrote.

Jack Harlow's "Jackman" will be the follow-up to his 2022 record, "Come Home The Kids Miss You," which features some of the biggest artists in the world of music like Justin Timberlake, Drake, Pharrell Williams, and Lil Wayne.

It appears that 2023 is a big year for the rapper as he will also be starring in his acting debut for the movie "White Men Can't Jump."

According to Variety, the project will be available for streaming on Hulu starting May 19, 2023. The film is a remake of the 1992 movie of the same title which originally starred by Wesley Snipes and Woody Harrelson.

The 2023 remake is directed by Calmatic, while the script was written by Kenya Barris and Doug Hall.

Speaking about his efforts on getting the role, the rapper/actor, whose real name is Jackman Thomas Harlow, recalled that he put his time in with the script.

"I tried to be egoless during the audition, take notes, do what I had to do," he explained. "I just want to kill it. I just want to be good, and I want to do everything I can to make it good," he added. (via Variety)
