Luke Bryan isn't really the "American Idol" fans' top judge.
With a chorus of voices urging them to do so, executive producers of "American Idol" have been encouraged by their supporters to replace the current judge with a fan favorite.
That fan-favorite happens to be none other than the famous pianist and former judge Harry Connick Jr.
On Reddit, followers were adamant that the show needed his presence more than the country singer's because "his input is always so wise and meaningful."
A passionate fan strongly opposed the show, proclaiming: "Harry needs to replace Luke! He should be the last to judge this season - he's way too boring!"
Another viewer echoed this sentiment: "Harry should take over that role - I think he's the best judge Idol has ever had!"
A third fan agreed enthusiastically, saying they "loved Harry when he was on the judging panel."
Harry Connick Jr. was a judge on American Idol for three seasons: Season 13 in 2014, Season 14 in 2015, and Season 15 in 2016.
He was brought onto the show as a replacement for judge Randy Jackson, and he received positive reviews from viewers and critics for his expertise, humor, and constructive feedback.
During his time on "American Idol," Harry helped mentor and guide contestants and performed several times on the show.
Is Luke Bryan Hated?
At his Birmingham, Alabama, show in March, Blake Shelton made it known that he did not receive a warm welcome from "Country Girl" singer Luke Bryan.
The former "The Voice" panelist tongue-in-cheekily asked the audience to sing along because his doctor had recommended it to preserve his voice.
It was no secret that while "American Idol" fans may not have embraced Luke Bryan with open arms, Blake Shelton was with them.
He quipped during his concert, "I know what he's talking about because I've been to Luke Bryan concerts many times, and people are singing every damn word to his songs. But his songs are stupid!"
Radar Online reported that Luke had the chance to view footage of Blake's concert.
An informant revealed to the media source that while they often poke fun at each other, this time it seemed Blake went too far.
