Did Dolly Parton successfully cast Mick Jagger to become part of her rock album?
Parton will expand her rock career with her double album, "Rock Star." The music project will be released in late summer or early fall, and it will feature several A-list artists, including Steve Perry, Paul McCartney, Duran Duran's Simon LeBon, and Aerosmith's Steven Tyler.
She also tapped Jagger, and she recently revealed what his answer was.
Dolly Parton Says Mick Jagger Will Not Be Part of Rock Album
Speaking with ET Online, the 77-year-old "Coat of Many Colors" singer said having Jagger on her rock album would not happen. Still, she clarified that she does not have hard feelings about it.
"[But] I love Mick Jagger no matter what," she said. "I'll still be runnin' after him all through the years. Because I've always had a crush on [him]."
Parton planned to sing The Rolling Stones song "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction" with the singer. But with the recent update, she is yet to reveal who will replace Jagger on her collab list.
Previously, Parton named the rocker as one of the three celebrities who leave her starstruck. Elton John and Debbie Harry were the two others.
Although she has been open about her love for Jagger, Parton's husband, Carl Dean is also a fan of him. Before the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame ceremony, she told E! News that Carl Dean loves the singer and The Rolling Stones' track.
Parton started her career when she moved to Nashville after graduating high school. Although she initially pursued a music career, she also became a notable actress and entrepreneur.
