Dolly Parton 'Rock Star' New Album
The 77-year-old music icon made her own Rock and Roll album after being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, a recognition she initially did not want to have as she believed she did not deserve.
Eventually, Parton accepted the award graciously but revealed to the press that her husband, Carl Dean, was much of a rock and roll person than she was. In an exclusive Entertainment Tonight interview, Parton revealed that Dean was "more excited" about the project than anything she had ever done in her music career, noting that he was also one of the main reasons why she did the album in the first place.
In the past, Parton revealed that she would be recruiting A-list rock artists for her new record. These include Paul McCartney, Stevie Nicks, and even Mick Jagger.
Elsewhere in the interview, Parton revealed that Elton John and Pink were also added to the list, and Dolly Parton's "Rock Star" was announced as the new album title.
"I was really pleased. Like everything I do, I ask God to bless it and to guide me in it and to let it be a blessing for everybody that's involved in it," she shared in the interview. "It's gonna get a lot of publicity, and everybody wanted to do their best for me. I wanted to do my best for them. So, because of that, we really came up with some great stuff."

Dolly Parton 'Rock Star' Release Date
According to the interview, the full album will be released on November 2023, but the first single will be debuted at the 2023 ACM Awards next week, May 11.
The lead single of "Rock Star" would be "World on Fire," a seemingly stray away title from what people usually got from the country music star.
Dolly Parton, Mick Jagger Collab Impossible?
Among the rock artists she has teased before, Dolly said that she wanted to get Mick Jagger for the role. However, she revealed in the interview that she did not manage to do so.
"I never got him! But I love Mick Jagger no matter what. I'll still be runnin' after him all through the years because I've always had a crush on [him]," she cheekily added.
