Rosé of BLACKPINK recently collaborated with GQ Korea on a breathtaking photoshoot and an even more amazing interview, where she shared like she never did in the past.
In the accompanying interview (via Soompi), Rosé discussed her hectic schedule, BLACKPINK's Coachella performance, and much more. When asked if she was exhausted from all the traveling and performing, Rosé responded that she's not at all. She loves what she's doing and her fans give her the energy to continue on without exhaustion.
Last month marked the second anniversary of Rosé's debut solo album, "R." Rosé stated that since it was her first single album, the album's significance, the energy she poured into it, and the affection she received are all such special and cherished memories. Even after a great deal of time has passed, she does not believe these will be able to diminish.
Comparing herself to BLACKPINK during solo and group promotions, Rosé stated that there are obvious differences. In the group, she has to project a certain image, and in her solo, she can be more herself.
Rose also commented that Blackpink's chance to perform at Coachella 2023 felt like a movie, or a dream. When told that BLACKPINK already had so many movie-like experiences, Rose said this is really different. She said it was more so because this has been a lifelong ambition. She could not even fathom being the main attraction. She was simply delighted to perform at Coachella and take the stage.
Now that Rosé has realized yet another ambition, she was questioned about her future plans. She confirmed that she was extremely hard on herself and elaborated but she has now undergone a mental shift where she knows the value of being kinder to herself.
She said that even if not perfect, there is unquestionably something to gain from the process of locating the answer and not being obsessed with having the perfect output.
She ended the interview by encouraging fans to believe in themselves.
The album "R" by ROSÉ has surpassed 400 million plays on Spotify back in September of 2022. The album was published on March 12, 2021, so its 400 million views were accumulated in just 1 year and six months.
