Rachel McAdams possesses a talent that Kelly Clarkson finds quite attractive. What did the singer host want from the actress?
The host of the talk program confided in the "Are You There, God? Wednesday, the "It's Me Margaret" star stated on her program that she's "always been amazed by how well Rachel cries and speaks at the same time in movies."
She even told the actress that she's furious about it. She has no idea how the actress cry and still appear beautiful, which is disgusting, she joked.
Clarkson played a few clips from her show in which she laments that she "doesn't look like Rachel McAdams from 'The Notebook' when she cries" in order to demonstrate to McAdams that she has been anxious to learn her secret for years.
McAdams responded that she has practiced in front of the mirror for a very long time.
Clarkson expressed relief upon learning that McAdams needed to improve her craft but McAdams was quick to clarify that she only responded sarcastically, before jokingly adding that she's actually teaching a master class in pretty crying.
McAdams told Clarkson that she wasn't even aware that she resembles the opposite of Kim Kardashian when she tears and that she doesn't "feel like it's pretty."
McAdams' audition video for "The Notebook," which has been a staple of the Internet for years due to the film's popularity, demonstrates her natural ability to cry and still appear attractive. However, the fact that McAdams cringed while watching the audition footage on "Today" a decade after the film's release may make Clarkson feel better.
If she cannot ugly/pretty cry, she can certainly make people cry!
As a Hollywood powerhouse, Kelly Clarkson's soulful music is no stranger to moving people to tears. In contrast, her recent duet with Carol Burnett was unlike any other performance she had previously given.
The daytime host invited Carol Burnett on The Kelly Clarkson Show on April 26 to discuss her impending special Carol Burnett: 90 Years of Laughter + Love.
Kelly stunned audiences with a sprightly rendition of "I'm So Glad We Had This Time Together," the iconic song Carol sang at the end of The Carol Burnett Show, as the pair discussed Carol's legendary career. Carol, unwilling to leave The Voice instructor hanging, grabbed her own microphone and finished the verse with her. When the song ended, the legendary television personality tugged on her ear, just as she did at the conclusion of her legendary variety show.
