"It's really hard watching your parent lay in bed helpless and sick and there's nothing you can do to help them. Breaking my heart. Thankful for the time we got to spend together," he reflected.

Born in August 1951, Tim Bachman grew up playing guitar in the larger Winnipeg, Canada, area. Playing the guitar for many bands, Bachman had a kickstart in music but left after feeling that the music scene in his area became stagnant.

In 1972, he joined the band Brave Belt and founded the Bachman-Turner Overdrive a year later. A year after he left the band after allegedly breaking the lifestyle rules of his brother - drinking and drugs on tour - Blair Thornton then replaced him.

Eventually, he became a family man and worked as a realtor in Abbotsford, British Columbia. In 2008, he suffered a heart attack and even underwent quadruple bypass surgery. He was accused of sexual offense allegations.
