Expressing his views on children receiving sex reassignment (or gender affirmation) treatment, KISS singer-guitarist Paul Stanley declared that this practice had become a "sad and dangerous fad" by being normalized.

In a Twitter post entitled "My Thoughts On What I'm Seeing," Paul Stanley, founding member of the famous rock n' roll band Kiss, expressed his opinion on the controversy regarding gender-affirming care.

At 71 years old, Stanley is no stranger to the entertainment world and has a unique perspective on this issue.

Paul spoke out against the trend of parents normalizing and encouraging their children to participate in sex reassignment surgery. He expressed concern that kids are being pushed into decisions they may regret later.

His complete statement can be seen below:

It is uncertain why Paul Stanley said what he did, but it's evident that his words mixed up sexuality and gender identity - two distinct elements.

When the rock star expressed his opinion about the matter, it provoked strong responses from both sides. Those in favor and those against made sure to have their voices heard.

The Offspring's guitarist Kevin Wasserman said, "This is a very disappointing take, especially from someone who wore high-heels, makeup, & teased up hair his whole career," referring to KISS' wearing makeup early in their career as a way to stand out from other rock bands of the time and create a unique image.

The makeup and costumes also allowed them to take on different characters on stage, creating a theatrical and larger-than-life experience for their fans.

Kevin said," As a young kid your band helped teach me that I could be whatever I wanted to be. I guess it was just gimmickry after all. #thatsashame."

Another Twitter user asked, "Is this AI-generated?"

A second person tweeted, "You literally wrote a song about normalizing having sex with underage girls. Every sentence in your statement can be applied to you. I bet the odds of your 'game' have been more dangerous."

On Instagram, another user urged, "Normalization is not encouraging or confusing children. Normalization is allowing people to live happily and freely without fear. Gender dysphoria isn't fun."

With a heated conflict continuing to flare up around transgender rights in multiple states, many have shared their thoughts and opinions about this issue on various social media sites. Numerous pieces of legislation have been proposed to protect or limit those who identify as transgender.
