Last March, Fall Out Boy made their big comeback with the album "So Much (For) Stardust" and it appears that they are taking one step further with their merch as they are going to release vinyl records containing the members' actual tears; how did they do it?

Taking to their official Instagram account, the band revealed that the project was a collaboration with BRAIN, an art studio based in Los Angeles.

The double-sided record are sealed with actual tears of each member. The record is only limited to 50 copies, and is now sold out.

"It includes one double-sided, tear-filled, LP, packaged in a gatefold box with built-in tissue dispenser," they added in the caption.

In a promotional video, Pete Wentz can be seen shedding a tear which was collected with a dropper. The tears were later poured inside the transparent vinyl for "maximum emotional fidelity." (via People Magazine)

Fall Out Boy Fans React Over Limited-Edition Vinyl Records

Based on the comment section, it appears that the limited-edition vinyl records were immediately sold out within minutes after the pre-order link went live.

Many fans expressed their disappointment over the matter, with one user writing, "It's sold out !!!! I tried to add to cart but nothing was happening and I couldn't check out :( now it's completely gone!"

Other users were confused as they thought the project was an April Fools joke, with one writing, "You know it's May 1st, not April 1st, right?!," while another one wrote, "Why does this seem like a month late April Fool's joke?"

For those who never got a chance to purchase the merch, Fall Out Boy has incredible news for their followers. Lucky fans will get a chance to win the vinyl record, which is called "Crynyl," as they noted that they will be "giving few away soon."

However, the band has yet to announce the details regarding the giveaway.

As of this writing, Fall Out Boy has not revealed whether they're going to release a new batch of Crynyl again soon or not.

Fall Out Boy 'So Much (For) Stardust'

The recent merch drop comes after their March 24 release of "So Much (For) Stardust." It took the band half a decade before they've released new material, which surprised fans.

Amid their latest album's release, supporters were shocked when Joe Trohman announced that he will be "stepping a way" from the group temporarily.

The main reason why he's taking a break is because of his mental health that "rapidly deteriorated over the past several years."

He later assured fans that he will come back in the future, but for now, he must recover and make his health his number one priority.
