Kate Bush was named among the newly inducted stars to the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame-a point of her career that she thought she would never come to.
After all, it has been more than a decade since the singer released any new music, and many thought that she was well past her prime.
However, the fates of music had different plans for her. When the hit Netflix series "Stranger Things" used the singer's 1985 pop ballad, "Running Up That Hill," her name and music shot right back up from oblivion.
A year after her iconic comeback, Bush was finally inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame-just after being nominated three times in the past, reports say.
"She's been nominated many times, so the nominating committee was very happy that the general ballot voted Kate in this year," said John Sykes, the chairman of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
"Sometimes it takes a major moment like Willie's [Nelson] 90th birthday or, in the case of Kate Bush, music being played in 'Stranger Things' to shine a light on them for a lot of younger people who didn't know who she was in 1985; they probably weren't even born yet."

After receiving the honor of being inducted, Bush gushed about the long-awaited achievement in her life, which apparently, she never saw coming.
"It's something I just never thought would happen. Thank you so much to everyone who voted for me," the singer said. "It means a great deal that you would think of me. It's such a huge honour."
"Now, as part of the initiation ceremony, I get to find out about the secret handshake ... there is one, right?" She also jested.
Aside from Bush, this year's newly inducted artists include Willie Nelson, Missy Elliott, Sheryl Crow, Rage Against the Machine, George Michael, and the Spinners.
Sykes also agrees that Bush's induction is "long overdue," but it had to take one special push to get the singer up to the top.

'Stranger Things'
When the singer's song "Running Up That Hill" was given a whole new lease of life, she was overjoyed.
She thanked younger audiences who took to the song and brought it up the music charts.
"Because of this, 'Running Up That Hill' is charting around the world and has entered the UK chart at No. 8. It's all really exciting! Thanks very much to everyone who has supported the song," Bush wrote.
