Nicki Minaj Collaborations: How Does It Materialize?
In a question-and-answer moment she did on Twitter recently, Nicki Minaj was asked if she knew right away if she wanted to collaborate with someone or not.
Graciously, Nicki Minaj answered the question in a concise and detailed manner.
According to her, she "sleep" on the decision first for weeks, usually, and sometimes months.
"Normally don't play it after the first day. I let the universe decide. Then 1 day out of the blue I tell Juice to pull it up. That means it came back to me on its own," she explained.
After doing so, the rap royalty lays a few of her iconic references written in different flows, another thing she was most well known for.
However, Nicki Minaj's writing process doesn't stop there. She could actually pull the plug on it again or not.
"Then... boom! I've made a decision. Written & recorded. Then we wait...for the barbz to give the nod of approval I guess," she continued.

Nicki Minaj Writing Process Explained
A fan appreciated Minaj's writing process, praising her for how "organically" her process came about. The fan also noted how her explanation shows how "serious" she is in her craft and artistry.
Minaj responded to the tweet by offering more valuable input.
Per the "Red Ruby Da Sleeze" rapper, the verse she adds has to elevate the song, or she believes it should not be included at all.
"Also, not every song should have a rap verse on it. Also rap has to rlly be your passion in order to adapt to diff songs, genres, beats, tempos, etc. you can't go on the court and play the same exact defense with every team," she noted.
