50 Cent And West Hollywood Mayor Speak Out About Suge Knight’s Shooting

50 Cent is taking a break from his Floyd Mayweather slander as he took to social media to comment on the recent shooting of Suge Knight.

According to AllHipHop, Fif referenced his show Power in his commentary. He posted a photo of himself wearing a suit along with the caption, "Suge should have had this on last night. It hurts when a n***a halfway kill ya # man down."

West Hollywood Mayor John D'Amico also addressed the shooting to The L.A. Times. D'Amico noted that the person responsible for the shooting is still at large.

"This was just a regular night of fun on the Sunset Strip" he said, "and it was disrupted by criminals. Hopefully the sheriff's department will find out who the person or persons were and prosecute them to the full extent of the law."

As previously reported, Knight was shot in the stomach and arm around 1:30 a.m. Sunday (Aug. 24) at West Hollywood nightclub 1Oak. It was reported that Knight's wounds didn't look lifethreatening.

The former label head was shot multiple times at a pre-VMA party hosted by Chris Brown. A similar incident occurred back in 2005 when Knight was shot in the leg at a party hosted by Kanye West.

Knight's family gave an official statement to Revolt and asked the public for prayers and respect.

"The family of Suge Knight ask that you keep Suge in your prayers and to stray away from the negativity portrayed by the media. Suge is currently resting and has lost a lot of blood, he's human. He's done a lot of things for the community and the culture as a whole so we ask that you respect that."

It is still unclear whether Knight was the intended target. Stay tuned for more updates.
