The Coronation of His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Queen will take place at Westminster Abbey today, and the Palace has vowed a concert featuring "global music icons" and "contemporary stars" to commemorate this momentous occasion..
The late Queen's Platinum Jubilee Party at the Palace featured performances by Diana Ross, Queen, and Rod Stewart, as well as a pre-recorded rendition of "Your Song" by Elton John.
The King's Coronation weekend has a similarly star-studded lineup, with pop vocalist Katy Perry and British boy band Take That among the confirmed acts. Tom Cruise and Dame Joan Collins are scheduled to participate in the evening's entertainment, and Winnie-the-Pooh will also make an appearance. Ncuti Gatwa, the new Time Lord, is taking a break from filming the upcoming "Doctor Who" season to partake.
The specially-formed Coronation Choir representing "the many voices of the country" is another highlight. In a BBC documentary, Amanda Holden, Motsi Mabuse, and Rose Ayling-Ellis will join choirmaster Gareth Malone in mentoring the vocalists prior to the big day. Here is the complete lineup and other pertinent information for tomorrow night's Coronation concert.
When and Where to Watch, Who Can Attend
The concert will take place in the grounds of Windsor Castle on the evening of Sunday, May 7, beginning at 8pm BST, the day after the coronation.
Twenty thousand guests will be in attendance, including ten thousand members of the general public who won tickets in a ballot and volunteers from the King and Queen's numerous charities. Winners of complimentary tickets were notified in late April.
Those who cannot physically attend naturally can watch it live on their television set or livestream links! Check one below:
Performers at King Coronation
In addition to Take That, Paloma Faith, Steve Winwood, and Olly Murs, a number of American superstars including Lionel Richie, Katy Perry, and Nicole Scherzinger have been scheduled to perform at Windsor Castle.
This will be their first live performance in four years for Gary Barlow, Howard Donald, and Mark Owen, the three remaining members of Take That. Barlow organized the Diamond Jubilee concert for the late Queen in 2012 and led his bandmates in a performance at the closing ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games, so Britain's original boyband have the necessary expertise for such a momentous occasion.

Lionel Richie and Katy Perry have more in common than their positions as judges on American Idol. Each has a comparable relationship with the King and has met him on numerous occasions over the years.
In 2019, the Dancing on the Ceiling singer became the first global ambassador for the monarch's charity The Prince's Trust, while the Fireworks singer is an ambassador for The British Asian Trust - another of the King's charities - and hopes that her performance will bring attention to its Children's Protection Fund. Perry, one of the best-selling musicians in the world, is "excited" to be participating.
