Ayra Starr communicates with her followers via text message - how cool is that? Not all stars can do that.
The 20-year-old pop star, whose real name is Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, released her wildly successful debut album "19 and Dangerous" four years into her career, she has revealed that she still enjoys interacting personally with her fans.
She told NME that her followers and she have been exchanging text messages and she told them how pleased she was that one of them had recently obtained employment. It's a means of communication, and it also helps them understand her personality better.
The "Sability" hitmaker - who was named Breakout Artist of the Year at 2022's Net Honours - recalled feeling "warm" when her fans were able to sing along to every word of a lesser-known album track at a concert she performed last summer. She went on to explain that she always allows herself to "be in the moment" when writing a song in order to create a more accurate depiction of how she is feeling at the time.
She continued that she has a song titled "ASE," which is not [my] most renowned song but which she performed on COLORS [last summer]. She added that it was insane how many people knew the lyrics during her recent performance.
They knew every word of it, which makes it easy for her to enable herself to be in the moment when it comes to songwriting. She added that she allows herself to be content wherever she is so that she can compose music based on her emotions. There is significantly more pressure when attempting to channel a sensation, she shared, so she permitted everything to exist.
She recently appeared in Stormzy's video. Stormzy has released a new music video for the song 'Need You', which features Ayra Starr and Tendai. The song is from the rapper's 2022 album 'This Is What I Mean,' and Meji Alabi directed the new music video.
It follows previous visuals for the singles 'Hide & Seek' and 'Firebabe' and depicts the group lounging in a luxurious hotel.
