Twelve years ago, Susan Boyle and Peter Kay collaborated on a track for "Comic Relief," and fans are now naturally thrilled to see the two reunited.
Susan Boyle, 62, was ebullient from ear to ear as she met Peter Kay, 49, at his Peter Kay Live! show.
Boyle is a fan favorite from Britain's Got Talent. Susan shared a rare Instagram post with her 81,000 followers last night, following the comedian's Glasgow stand-up performance, to commemorate the reunion.
Peter performed his character Geraldine McQueen in a charity song for Comic Relief 12 years prior to their meeting backstage. The caption for the post read, "A reunion 12 years in the making! Susan Boyle reunited with Peter Kay after attending his hysterically brilliant Glasgow performance of "Peter Kay Live."
"How has it been twelve years since the release of their Comic Relief video? It wasn't long before fans flocked to the comments section to gush about the showbiz titans' reunion," one fan wrote.
Another gushed about how beautiful Susan is, and shared how happy to see her still doing so well. Others said they can't wait for the release of a new CD.
One shared that he was also at Peter Kay's show last night and Peter is a comedy genius. He added that it felt incredible to witness how entire arena began chanting Boyle's name
In 2011, Peter, dressed as Geraldine, and Susan helped Comic Relief raise an astounding £42 million by 10pm. The duo performed a cover of Elaine Paige's I Know Him So Well, with Peter performing as his parody Britain's Got The Pop Factor...On Ice character Geraldine.
Meanwhile, Saturday night's episode of Britain's Got Talent left viewers in tears after the singer Travis George's audition. Travis, a 22-year-old from South Wales, ascended the stage to demonstrate his talent to the judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, and Bruno Tonioli.
However, the singer's performance began shakily as he labored to articulate his words, which brought him to tears. Simon, 63, demonstrated his comprehension to Travis by stating, "Ok Travis, so, big day." The audience then applauded to encourage Travis, and Simon wished him luck.
Travis received four affirmative votes from the judges and a resounding affirmative from the BGT audience. Those at home commended Travis' audition and said he reminded them of the legendary BGT star Susan Boyle, whose life was transformed after she auditioned for the show in 2009 and performed a rendition of I Dreamed A Dream from Les Miserables.
One writer exclaimed, "Oh my heavens. Travis @BGT I abruptly remembered Paul Potts and Susan Boyle from Britain's Got Talent. "That Travis audition brings to mind Susan Boyle's debut! I have goosebumps everywhere but no sound bar.
