Cardi B has, yet again, promised that her highly anticipated sophomore album is coming soon.
Five years ago, Cardi B took the rap game world by storm with the release of her debut studio album, "Invasion of Privacy," which produced the hit singles "Bodak Yellow," "Bartier Cardi," "Be Careful," "I Like It," and "Ring."
However, since then, the rapper has been working on single releases, collaborative songs, and the occasional cooking videos she shares online.
Fans are now growing weary, waiting for the album, while some have begun to question whether Cardi B even plans to release a new album at all.
What Was the Reason?
Apparently, since the release of "Invasion of Privacy," Cardi B has found love and life in a lot of different things that have taken over her life and time.
According to reports, the rapper fell in love with another rapper, Offset, and had two children: Kulture Kiari and Wave.
Since then, her days-which were once dedicated to dancing and music-became all about her two kids.
In fact, she enjoys being a mother so much that she shared that motherhood has changed her and she wants more kids.
Apparently, it is for this reason that Cardi B is so hesitant to put a new album out. "I've been having a lot of anxiety because I know right after I drop my album, I have to go out on tour, and I have bad separation anxiety from my kids."
Well, that and the fact that she is still working and looking for the right direction she wants to bring her career to.
"When it comes to music and everything, I just be feeling like I don't be liking anything," she explained. "I feel like I got so many songs, and I don't like anything. I feel like nothing is good enough... And I got so much money saved up I just be like, 'Yeah, whatever the f**k.'"

Releases
Just because Cardi B has not dropped a new album in recent years does not mean she has become obscured and irrelevant in the rap game.
In fact, since the release of her debut studio album, Cardi B has shown time and time again that she is one of the best and most successful rappers in the industry.
According to Uproxx, the rapper's collab songs like "WAP" with Megan Thee Stallion "Tomorrow 2" with GloRilla, and more have been massive hits.
Cardi B has not lost her spark in the game, and in fact, she might just cause a fire once she drops the new album.
