In spite of the various shows documenting Britney Spears' struggles and eventual conclusion to her 13-year conservatorship, the star has not made an appearance in any of them.
A blockbuster documentary series could be coming soon, masterminded by the super-producer Ryan Murphy.
According to reports from The Sun, Ryan desires Britney Spears to tell her own story in the series and even featured her in a 2010 episode of Glee.
The drama surrounding the singer's conservatorship is what could make this upcoming production a must-see event.
It has been revealed by a critical figure in the industry that Ryan has a deep fascination with the Britney story.
He is reportedly one of the few - or maybe the only - Hollywood directors who are professionally connected to her.
Understandably, he is familiar with her life and why the conservatorship narrative had struck a chord with many people. With this being said, there remains one query: timing.
As Britney prepares to release her memoir, many are eager to see these explosive stories come to life.
However, Ryan Murphy reportedly does not take kindly to accusations of exploiting victims and tragedies for his shows. Therefore, he will only progress with the pop princess's full approval.
"Much like he did with Monica Lewinsky for 'American Crime Story's Clinton-themed season, Ryan is uniquely positioned to tell the story of Britney Spears in a sensitive and enthralling way," the source said.
"However, as they have an extensive history together, he will not force her into something she is hesitant about."
Britney has a special relationship with the television mogul, and his help offer is still on the table.
Ryan had become a star when it was announced that he had inked an astonishing $ 300 million deal with Netflix. Thus, granting him the title of "king of the streaming boon."

Britney Spears Memoir Delayed Release Date
This comes after reports that the "Toxic" singer's memoir is reportedly delayed because of legal concerns.
The Sun reported that the release of a tell-all autobiography has been delayed due to legal issues regarding rumored affairs with two Hollywood stars.
Allegations have caused concern for those to who these claims may pertain, resulting in lawyers sending letters to publisher Simon & Schuster.
In response to the release of Britney Spears' upcoming book, her legal team has stepped in, causing a delay in its publication.
A source close to the situation said there is cause for alarm amongst certain celebrities as the content within could be highly revealing. To protect themselves, several parties have sent warning letters to the publisher.
Initially planned for a February release, this book will likely be published at year's end.
