Matty Healy of British rock band 1975 has reignited a public outcry.

This is after being caught on camera performing what appears to be a Nazi salute in a recently resurfaced concert video from January.

During his live rendition of their popular song "Love It If We Made It," he lifted his arm upwards and sang, "Thank you, Kanye, very cool."

A fan account reposted a clip of him just days before Matty attended two Taylor Swift concerts. This led to numerous critics expressing disdain and Jewish individuals speaking out against it, making them feel unsafe.

The artist's admirers have come to the forefront to support the salute, claiming that he was using the arm not typically used by Nazi soldiers and that it was meant as a joke to make light of Kanye West's recent anti-Semitic posts on Twitter.

It was reported by The Sun that the individuals in Matty's close-knit group of friends claimed he had no ties to Nazi ideology, and the gesture was a means of mocking Ye for his statements.

Meanwhile, on Saturday night, Matty Healy was with Gigi Hadid in the VIP area of Taylor Swift's Nashville concert.

While watching the show, he appeared to be deeply moved, putting his hand to his chest and gazing upwards with a tender smile on his face.

Reports of a possible romantic relationship between him and Taylor have yet to be confirmed.

It's been quite the buzz lately that Matty and Taylor, 33, are deeply in love. This was further backed up by sightings of them strolling around Nashville together, which certainly appears to be the case.

Friday night, Matty joined Taylor on stage as he provided backup guitar for Phoebe Bridgers during her set at one of the tour stops.

It has been said that her level of celebrity caused difficulties in the relationship with Joe Alwyn, whom the "Lover" singer dated for six years, apparently feeling overwhelmed by the public focus upon them.

In an interview with The Sun, a confidant of the "Shake It Off" singer divulged that Taylor Swift and Matty Healy are head-over-heels in love.

Although they've just started to date, it feels right. They tried dating many years ago, but fate wouldn't allow it.

"What's more is that Taylor and Joe had already broken up by February so there was no overlap whatsoever."

Back in December 2014, an image was captured of both Matty and Taylor wearing supportive T-shirts for each other's music careers. This sparked speculation of a possible romantic relationship between the two.
