Stromae canceled the remaining dates of his Multitude tour due to his worsening health status.

Stromae Cancels Remaining Multitude Tour dates

Instead of taking a bow in December 2023, Stromae recently shared bad news regarding his upcoming Multitude tour dates. He penned a statement in both English and French, sharing the official cancelation notice on Twitter.

According to Stromae, whose real name is Paul van Haver, his health took a bad turn which led him to cancel his shows in France and Europe. Although he hoped for the best so he could return to the stage soon, he needed to take more and longer rest than expected.

"Unfortunately, I must accept today that the time I need to rest and heal will take longer than expected," he went on. "It is with my deepest regret that I won't be able to honour my promise and that I am announcing today the end of the Multitude tour."

The Belgian rapper and singer already canceled his concerts due to his health state, though he showed optimism to return to the tour by June.

Despite the cancelation, Stromae expressed his happiness and gratitude after being able to meet his fans again and perform for them on stage. He also thanked everyone who had been sharing messages of affection online amid his health battle.

Fans who purchased tickets can avail refund at the point of purchase, per Rolling Stone.

The tour served as his first headlining show since he performed in 139 shows from 2013 to 2015 to support his album, "Racine Carrée." The sophomore album also became his comeback project after his seven-year break from the music industry.

Before his recent health battle, Stromae already worried fans when he took a seven-year break.

During his return, he appeared in an interview with Rolling Stone via Zoom and revealed that he wanted to live a normal life and feel inspired before his hiatus. He explained that he used his time off to finally create his third album.

According to the singer, he had been known as a singer who sings about dark issues on dancing tracks. Aside from the creative break, Stromae also took the chance to marry the love of his life and have a baby together.

He also collaborated with other artists before his official return.
