When an untitled memoir slated for a July 9 release came to the attention of Taylor Swift's fans, they began to speculate that the singer is finally releasing a book.

According to reports, the rumors began when Flatiron Book Publishing announced details regarding a mysterious book release.

While most details about the book are largely still unknown, as the publishing company plans to unveil it on June 13, fans have begun to speculate that it might actually be by Swift because of the dates.

The "Lavender Haze" singer is known to drop easter eggs in her music videos, Instagram pictures, and captions all over the place, which has left fans sitting at the edge of their seat, constantly on guard.

The dates in question have a lot of relevance to the singer, after all, it's the number 13 and July 9-a date she even mentioned in a song.

Swift: Singer and Author?

When the rumors began to spread, Swift's fans began pre-ordering the mystery book, not really bothering to know whether or not it was really by their favorite singer or not.

Apparently, their efforts have brought the book on everybody else's radar, and even ended up on Amazon and Barnes & Noble's top 10 book sales as well.

"Publishers provide lists of upcoming books so we can order them and have them on hand for the release date," a content creator shared. "We get the title, author, and a brief description of the book."

"[...] All they're saying is that it's a biography/memoir, and that there's a huge initial print run.

"[...] There's a lot of mystery and buzz about this one," the content creator continued. "We have our guesses, what do you think?"

Debunking the Rumors

According to Variety, the mystery book is not by Swift. In fact, it seems like the publication is certain that it is not by the singer, because they had an insider confirm it.

The reason behind the speculation relies solely on the supposed easter eggs Swift left behind leading up to the release of the mystery book.

First, she released a song titled "Dear Reader" from her "Midnights" album. Next is the relevance of the release date which was mentioned in another song "Last Kiss."

Of course, fans know that Swift does not always easily give away all the hints, which led them to believe that by adding up the numbers in the page count-which sums to 13, by the way-would prove that Swift has something to do with it. Apparently, she has not.
