The Beatles' surviving members, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, will work together on Dolly Parton's rock album.
Parton has been preparing for her upcoming rock album, "Rockstar," which will feature a slew of the music industry's greatest rock legends, including Steven Tyler, Stevie Nicks, Elton John, and Sting.
The new album will also feature the two The Beatles members.
Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr To Bring The Beatles' Spirit
Parton's upcoming album will have a total of 30 tracks - 21 will be covers of classic rock songs and nine original songs by the country star.
One of the cover songs will be The Beatles' hit song, "Let It Be." According to the female crooner's press release, the track will be star-studded as it will present The Beatles' surviving members alongside Fleetwood Mac's Mick Fleetwood and Peter Frampton.
The 1970 song was part of The Beatles' album of the same name, which soon became the band's last release before officially disbanding the same year after a decade of promoting. Following its release, "Let It Be" immediately made it into the UK Singles chart at No. 2 and ranked first on the Billboard Hot 100.
While McCartney primarily wrote and sang the track, it was credited under the Lennon-McCartney songwriting partnership. He revealed that he made the song after his mother visited him in his dream.
He wrote in his book "The Lyrics: 1956 to the Present," that his mother comforted him when he saw her again years after her death.
"In this dream, seeing my mum's beautiful, kind face and being with her in a peaceful place was very comforting," the musician said. "She seemed to realize I was worried about what was going on in my life and what would happen, and she said to me, 'Everything will be all right. Let it be.'"
