The 2023 Blues Music Awards officially recognized this year's winners at the annual event.
On Thursday, the Blues Music Awards honored several musicians as part of the 44th edition of the ceremony. This year's event was held at the Renasant Convention Center, Downtown Memphis.
Among the winners, these three musicians dominated the ceremony by bringing home two awards each.
Musicians Who Scored 2 Recognitions at 2023 Blues Music Awards
Fans immediately congratulated Buddy Guy, Albert Castiglia, and John Németh after the trio scored two awards at the 2023 Blues Music Awards.
The Chicago blues guitar legend won the Song of the Year and Contemporary Blues Album for his "The Blues Don't Lie." Guy faced Altered Five Blues Band, Eric Gales, Németh, and Shemekia Copeland for the Song of the Year category and Diunna Greenleaf, Larry McCray, and Copeland for the latter award.

Meanwhile, Castiglia outshined Bernard Allison, Colin James, Eric Gales, and Tinsley Ellis after his "I Got Love" won the Blues Rock Album. He also scored the top Blues Rock Artist award.
Lastly, Németh won the Best Traditional Blues Album for his LP, "May Be the Last Time" and Best Instrumentalist Award for "Harmonica."
