Concerns are mounting for Liza Minnelli's well-being as the 77-year-old legend did not appear at the debut of "New York, New York," a musical based on her classic hit film and song.
Rumors about Liza's well-being were rampant as she failed to appear.
An insider revealed to Radar Online that her health lately had not been excellent. She had taken to using a wheelchair and staying inside more often than usual, likely because the journey from California back to New York would have been too taxing for her current condition.
However, an individual associated with Liza explained that the star would come to see the show at a future date, so she won't take away from it. Unless that happened, "it would have been totally focused on Liza."
It has been a while since anyone has seen Liza Minnelli. The last time was when the Cabaret star was spotted was in July of 2022 when she was out to dinner with pals in Los Angeles.
Upon seeing the pictures of her, many people were concerned - she looked pretty fragile.
She was being pushed around in a wheelchair, which had previously been the same one that folks believed she had "no choice" but to use at the Academy Awards ceremony.
Months on from Liza's stunning red carpet presence at Hollywood's Oscars, alongside none other than Lady Gaga, rumors began to circulate about what had occurred behind closed doors.
Despite fans being delighted by her moment of glory, unfortunately, it wasn't all that it seemed.
Worries emerged when Liza was seen stumbling over her lines, causing her to appear "discombobulated."

Lady Gaga's comment of "I got you" compounded the fear that the actress's age and health might be questioned. Fortunately, this speculation was quickly put to rest by the reassurance of the pop star's friend, jazz musician Michael Feinstein.
Michael reported that the incident involving Liza being removed from the stage in her wheelchair was said to be because of Chris Rock's notorious slap. This caused her to not be in a director's chair as initially intended.
He opened up about the unfortunate situation that had befallen her, stating, "It was incredibly disheartening - to have millions of people view her in a way that she had not consented to. It wasn't part of the agreement."
Discussing her health worries, Liza's friend noted, "It's a pity that the result was unexpected. She wasn't thrilled with it."
