UK's entry to the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest didn't fare well on the final rankings as she placed 25th overall, a shocking turnout despite the huge support behind her back.
Mae Muller, one of the UK's most promising pop stars, reacted to the surprising loss of Eurovision, with many on the internet sympathizing with her.

This is why it was especially shocking to see the final results where Muller placed 25th out of 26 Grand Finalists. Germany came last with Lord of the Lost's "Blood & Glitter." Meanwhile, Sweden's Loreen made history as she became the first woman in history to win the Song contest twice. She won in 2012 with "Euphoria" and 2023 with "Tattoo."
Sweden now ties with Ireland as the country with the most wins in the show.
Mae Muller Reacts To Shocking Eurovision Results
Taking to Twitter, Muller was candid in her response to her loss.
"i just want to say thank u x i know i joke a lot but we really put our all into the last few months, not the result we hoped for but so proud of everyone & what we achieved on this journey. Congrats to all the countries, I'll never forget this journey and I love you all," she said in a statement.
Meanwhile, people didn't seem to blame him for the low placement. In fact, she has attracted support from her followers, assuring her that she did great.
Hold your head high young lady...higher than before.....you have such a fantastic world ahead of you," a user tweeted.
"Your placing has no relation to the epic banger of the song you wrote. Everyone I was watching with thought you smashed it. Looking forward to hear what's next from you," another echoed.
Last year, UK's Sam Ryder placed second after Ukraine's Kalush Orchestra - This is why the UK assumed hosting responsibilities since Ukraine is still unfit to host this year due to the recent conflict with Russia.
