Justin Bieber is one of the most popular celebrities in the entire world, thanks to his breakout hit song "Baby" back in 2010.
However, apparently, not everyone is aware of just how big of a star the Canadian singer actually is.
According to reports, Diane Keaton admitted that she "didn't even know" Bieber before she starred in his music video for his hit song "Ghost" in 2021.
When asked what was it like to film a music video with the singer, Keaton had this to say: "I mean, I didn't even know him.
"I knew the music a little and I liked the music, but I wasn't a fan exactly - so you know, I don't have music pouring in my ears all the time."
Despite not really knowing much about Bieber or his music, the actress did say that she still enjoyed filming the music video. "I don't know why me. I still don't understand [...] But I loved it."
Diane Keaton's Bluff
Maybe the actress was simply playing it down when she claimed that she "didn't even know" Bieber because an old video certainly proved otherwise.
Because according to Buzzfeed, the pair have actually met prior to working together for the "Ghost" music video.
During the actress' appearance at "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" seven years ago, the disgraced talk show host flashed a picture of the singer.
Keaton reportedly gushed over the picture and DeGeneres even handed her a turtle neck that says "True Believer" and the singer's face on it.
After that, Bieber jumped out from behind her and surprised her. On top of that, Keaton gave Bieber a kiss on the cheek.
Maybe the actress' memory is a little faulty because the entire interaction is memorable to say the least.
'Ghost'
Bieber released "Ghost" in 2021, it is the final single from his sixth studio album "Justice."
It garnered over seven million streams and charted within the top 10 of multiple countries' music charts.
The song is reportedly about trauma and getting over the hurt, "[...] make people feel like there is hope and that the trauma and the hurt that you feel isn't gonna last forever."
