Former White Lion singer Mike Tramp opened up about his recent health battle amid his The Songs of White Lion Tour.
In April, Tramp released his new album, "Songs of White Lion," which include cuts from White Lion's catalog. He dropped the music project via Frontiers Music.
As part of the album's promotion, the singer started his tour - but it did not go as smoothly sailing as possible.
Mike Tramp Reveals COVID-19 Bout
On Mike Tramp's official Facebook page on Thursday, the musician revealed that he had been dodging the COVID-19 virus for years even when he had been performing in front of a huge crowd and meeting fans up close. However, contracting the virus was indeed a matter of time for him.
He revealed that he started experiencing symptoms on Saturday night, feeling something in his throat and chest. He let himself rest as he believed it could go away before his Sunday show.
However, the next day, he finally learned about his condition when he went to see a doctor.
"I had COVID. Friends suggested i got on Paxlovid medication right away and before the day was through, I felt 100% better," he said. "But of course while I have been waiting it out, I have felt that I have an unwanted visitor in my body and I can't wait till it leaves. As I am fine to go on stage."
Tramp released another update over the weekend and told his fans he was brought to his knees by the dreaded virus. Fortunately, he felt better and better days after he was diagnosed with the disease.
