Anger has been sparked among loyal fans of Taylor Swift after comments were made by her current boyfriend, Matty Healy.
The 1975 frontman said the remarks about Ice Spice during a podcast gatheringwith Adam Friedland and Nick Mullen a few months ago.
In late January, Ice Spice informed Elle magazine that she had a passion for The 1975 and alternative music, which couldn't be more opposite to the pop-influenced drill genre she was used to. She admitted to being "obsessed" with the band.
Laughter filled the air during the podcastwhen Matty and the two hosts shared cutting remarks about Ice Spice's physical appearance. In addition, the trio made fun of Chinese and Hawaiian accents while discussing her ethnic origin.
As the discussion continued, Matty revealed that he had once contacted Ice Spice via Instagram. The other hosts called her a modern-day "Inuit Spice Girl."
The "Chocolate" singer said in the podcast, "This chubby Chinese lady. 'Yeah, I rap and [make] music.' Do they talk like that? Do Inuits talk like that?"
Matty joined in with the others while they mercilessly mocked certain Chinese and Hawaiian accents. Their behavior was openly unashamed, and Matty couldn't help but laugh along.

The public reacted strongly after the 23-year-old rapper was targeted with what many described as "disgusting" comments, according to The Sun.
One person voiced their rage on social media: "Let's all boycott Taylor Swift dating Matty Healy by selling our Eras Tour tickets at for below face value!!!"
This sentiment was echoed by another who wrote: "Taylor Swift's recent relationship with Matty Healy has revealed her true self; an individual associated with transphobia, racism, xenophobia, sexual misconduct, anti-Semitism, Islamophobic neo-Nazism and the consumption of pornography featuring women of African descent."
Another commented: "No matter who your favorite artist is, you don't have to condone their bad decisions. Taylor's recent choice to be with the notorious racist Matty is simply unacceptable for a lot of her fans who have been rooting for her for a decade. It's hard to keep on supporting Taylor's choices right now."
Recently the news of The 1975 frontman, 34, and "Anti-Hero" singer, 33, having a relationship surprised many. This was just weeks after Taylor's split with British actor Joe Alwyn, 32.
Further evidence of the couple was seen when they were together leaving the Electric Lady studioafter Matty reportedly said "I love you" to Taylor during her Eras tour in Tennessee.
