2023 Outer Critics Circle Awards Winners: 'Some Like It Hot' Domination Precursor For Tonys?

The 2023 Outer Critics Circle Awards has released its list of winners, and "Some Like It Hot" raked in the top awards of the night. Similarly, the new Broadway musical is the most-nominated musical at the 2023 Tony Awards.

Taking home five Outer Critics Circle Awards, it is the most-awarded musical this year. "New York, New York" came in second with two awards, tying with "Shucked" and "Parade."

"Some Like It Hot" won Outstanding New Broadway Musical as J. Harrison Ghee was hailed as the Outstanding Lead Performer. They also took home Outstanding Orchestrations, Outstanding New Score, and Outstanding Costume Design. (via Playbill)

Is 'Some Like It Hot' Going To Sweep The 2023 Tony Awards?

"Some Like It Hot" was at the TODAY show when they got hold of the news that they are the most nominated musical at the 2023 Tony Awards,

The company earned 13 whopping nominations including Best Musical, Best Book, Direction, and Orchestration, and four of the main actors were nominated for competitive acting categories.

Given the huge awards they earned at the Outer Critics Circle, it could be likely that they would also take home the major awards at the Tony Awards.
