On ANALOGr's website, the marketplace shows the six electric guitars which had been used and signed by the late legendary guitarist before his death. Aside from the six collections, the auction also added Chip Ellis-built Fender Custom Shop Frankenstein copy or Frankie 2.

According to the marketplace, the minimum reserve price is $525,000, and it expects to sell the guitar collection for $750,000 to $1 million.

The six Charvel Eddie Van Halen Art Series guitars were signed on July 9, 2004; Oct. 14, 2007; Oct. 22, 2007; Nov. 1, 2007; Feb. 20, 2012; and May 11, 2012.

The announcement came after Van Halen's Frankenstrat guitar, which he used onstage and in the "Hot For Teacher" music video, for $3.9 million. The minimum guitar for the custom-made Kramer electric guitar was $1.8 million, with the estimated official value from $2 million to $3 million.
It has since become the top 10 most expensive guitars ever sold at an auction.

Gene Simmons Opens Up About Eddie Van Halen's Death

In a recent interview with Classic Rock's Dave Ling, Gene Simmons opened up about the late guitarist and shared why the millennials need to know about the "most important musician since Jimi Hendrix."

He recalled the time he learned about Eddie Van Halen's death, comparing it to being hit in the face. Simmons also took his time to remember the "kind and beautiful soul" and "genuinely nice" person who inspired everyone in the music industry.

"As much as his death was upsetting, it also made me a little furious that so many of our so-called 'younger generation' remain unaware of his talents," he said. "For f*ck's sake, parents should be slapping mobile phones out of their kids' hands and telling them to check out this guy."

Simmons went on to declare that there would never be another one like Van Halen.

The guitarist died on Oct. 6, 2020, following his battle with cancer. He had been in and out of medical facilities due to several illnesses, including intestinal issues.
