Just last week, many fans were disappointed over Lil Wayne after he canceled his show in the middle of his set. More recently, the rapper let down concertgoers again as he was reportedly late to a music festival that he was headlining; what happened?

According to XXL, the musician was initially scheduled to perform on May 19 from 10 p.m. to 11 p.m. However, a statement issued by Metro Metro Festival organizers reveal that the rapper arrived at the venue at 10:45 p.m.

"We apologize for Lil Wayne's abbreviated performance. He arrived at the festival at 10:45 and curfew is at 11," they wrote on Instagram.

In total, the rapper reportedly just performed for over 15 minutes. The reason why his set was cut off was because of the 11 p.m. curfew. (via Uproxx)

As of this writing, Lil Wayne has yet to address the issue online.

In videos circulating online, fans can be seen disappointed over the performance as they were expecting him to perform some of his biggest songs, but he wasn't able to due to time constrains.

Not the First Time Lil Wayne Disappointed Fans

The recent news comes after the hip-hop artist was slammed online after his performance during the "Welcome To Tha Carter" tour in Los Angeles, California.

In early reports, the 40-year-old musician canceled his how in the middle of his set together with other Young Money artists.

It appears that Lil Wayne was also late to the show at the time as the program was scheduled to start at 9 p.m. but the concert began past 10 p.m.

He began to perform his track "Mr. Carter" until other artists Allan Cubas, Lil Twist, and Yaj Kader took the stage for an intermission number.

After walking back to the stage, concertgoers were angry, leading him to walk back and announce that the show will end early because they were not getting enough support and love from fans who attended the event.

His statement caused public outrage, especially on Twitter as there were also fans who bought tickets for the live stream online.

Lil Wayne New Album 2023

In other updates, Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz's collaborative album might come out later this year.

The pair already worked together in the past for the "ColleGrove" mixtape released in 2016. The new project is titled "ColleGrove 2."

"Two, three, for years now working on this project, and I'm finally getting to the finish line of this project with me and Wayne that I'm so excited to bring to the marketplace," 2 Chainz said.

As of this writing, neither of the two rappers has revealed the official release date of their project.
