Former Trans-Siberian Orchestra Vocalist James Lewis Passes Away
Roth called Lewis in his post "one of the best vocalists and human beings" he has ever known, noting that he was one of the most down-to-earth people despite having the chance to tour and record with Trans-Siberian Orchestra.
He recalled hanging out with him when the vocalist was still living in New York before sharing how they bonded together and made their friendship strong.
"Whether he'd be texting me from backstage while the TSO show was going on, or sending my daughter an unexpected, amazing birthday present, or sharing files and stories from his older bands, or comparing notes and sharing advice on our back issues," he said. "He was always such an authentic, nice guy."
Under the Facebook post, fans and friends sent their condolences to the bereaved family as they paid tribute to Lewis being one of the nicest and most talented members of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra.
On the other hand, his former colleagues in the group also expressed their heartbreaks through individual posts.
Trans-Siberian Orchestra Members Honor James Lewis
Following the confirmation of Lewis' death, the members of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra community shared their memories with the vocalist and recounted their touring days with him.
Russell Allen uploaded a group photo on Facebook as they mourn Lewis' death. Although they only met on a few occasions, he reportedly witnessed the late singer's humor, charisma, and energy.
He noted he only became part of the band to fill in for Lewis; however, the vocalist did not come back.
After Lewis' death, Allen pledged to give everything he got to perfectly fill in for him and live with the advice he received from the late member.
Guitarist Chris Caffery, Dustin Brayley, Jay Pierce, Angus Clark, Jennifer Cella, and Jeff Scott Soto also penned separate statements to remember Lewis. The vocalist's family is yet to release an official message regarding his death; no confirmation of memorial and funeral services have been made as of press time.
