Michael Lockwood, the ex-husband of singer and songwriter Lisa Marie Presley, has voiced his concerns that the family might reject him and feels there is a risk of him being alienated from his twin daughters.
The former husband's worries have sparked up in the aftermath of Riley Keough and Priscilla Presley settling their family dispute concerning funds from Lisa Marie's trust fund.
On January 12, it was reported that the late singer and daughter of Elvis Presley had passed away due to a cardiac arrest.
In anticipation of her passing, a life insurance policy was set up with $35 million to be paid out.
Beneficiaries of this trust fund are Riley Keough and her two sisters, Harper and Finley.
Not long after Lisa Marie Presley's passing, Priscilla took legal action to be named co-trustee with her former business manager Barry Siegel.
She argued that a potential amendment signed by Lisa Marie in 2016 would have eliminated her from the trust and instead made Riley Keough the trustee.
Priscilla Presley was not convinced that the amendment her daughter signed was authentic.
Consequently, Riley disapproved of involving the court in the dispute.
Ultimately, a deal was made between Riley and Priscilla that would give him sole authority over her mother's trust. This agreement included ownership of several companies related to Elvis Presley.
Reports suggest that Michael needed to be more informed about the agreement, according to Radar Online.
Before she passed away, it appears Lisa Marie had negative sentiments towards him, and Riley's decision to keep him at a distance might have impacted Priscilla's decisions.
However, as the twins' guardian, Michael Lockwood will continue to manage their share of Lisa Marie's trust.
"Riley is galled Michael has access to the twins' cash," said a source.
Michael will still regulate the portion that belongs to them from Lisa Marie's trust.
A source commented that Riley is frustrated about Michael controlling their money.
Priscilla Presley's Demand Not Met
Sources allege that Priscilla Presley requested a grave adjacent to the late singer at Graceland in Tennessee as part of their dispute over Lisa Marie's trust fund.
Riley said he was not keen on putting Priscilla to rest alongside Elvis.
His mother and father are in a grave by the King of Rock and Roll's side.
Concluding that it was best to move forward, Priscilla decided to ask for millions instead.
She told TMZ, "Although I don't plan on going anywhere anytime soon. It is my family's and my wish for me to be laid to rest with my daughter and the love of my life when that time comes. We appreciate the love from all of the fans."
