The world of music is mourning the death of Tina Turner as she was an influential icon in the industry for years. Dubbed as the "queen of rock and roll," the musician had several hits under her belt that old and new generations dearly loved.

Weeks before her passing, the late singer cryptically revealed in an interview how she was able to live an amazing life despite the hurdles she faced in the past.

Speaking with British Vogue in April, the "What's Love Got To Do With It" hitmaker was asked about the meaning of "well-lived."

The singer explained that her life was filled with "lots of sad times" but despite her hardships, she chose to forgive and strive to forget the bad moments.

"Maybe that's the answer: to keep moving forward, to let go and aim to fill your life with love. That is where I am now, and I am grateful," she added. (via Page Six)
