Beyoncé and Jay-Z recently made headlines for purchasing the most expensive house in California worth hundreds of millions of dollars. However, it appears that not all fans were in favor of the real estate investment as some of them deem it 'ugly.'
According to the New York Post, the power couple bought a $200 million mansion in Malibu designed by Tadao Ando, an award-winning architect who also designed Kanye West's home.
The property reportedly spans over 40,000 square feet placed on 8 acres of land. The house was previously owned by William Bell Jr., a renowned art collector.
It took builders 15 years to construct the all-concrete house and it appears that the original owner made a big profit as he initially had almost $100 million in loans.
Placed on top of the cliffs in Malibu, Beyoncé and Jay-Z's new home also features William Bell Jr.'s private art collection as well as a massive swimming pool.
This isn't the first time the couple bought a property worth millions of dollars as their previous investment in a Bel-Air mansion was reportedly priced at $88 million. Today, it's estimated to be worth $100 million.
