Tony Cowell, the elder brother of Simon Cowell, has revealed how the music mogul really is, in comparison to his arrogant ways on television.

According to Tony Cowell, his brother's true colors cannot be any more different from the boorish and callous judge that he is on talent shows.

In fact, Simon Cowel helped him discreetly beat cancer. For someone to help and not brag about it is rare these days.

The 73-year-old author disclosed he fought the disease last year and is now in remission following an NHS operation and chemotherapy.

Tony, who was diagnosed with stage 2 bladder cancer, told The Sun regarding his younger brother Simon that he could hear he was extremely upset and he ultimately had to calm him down.

It comes after Simon demonstrated his willingness to poke fun at himself by making a joke about his changing visage on "Britain's Got Talent." Despite his denials that he has had a facelift, the music mogul's notably different complexion previously perplexed viewers. And on Saturday night's program, Simon responded to the gossip by making a cheeky remark about his face.

A hopeful, Tom Crosbie, had previously astonished the judges by creating Bruno Tonioli's face from Rubik's Cubes. Amanda Holden, 52, seized the occasion to make a joke about Bruno, 67, as the final product was being shown to the panel, remarking, "Well, he's got the orange face right!" Simon asked the artist, "How the hell do you do that?" and the artist replied, "Practice...it turns out you have a really difficult face to make out of Rubik's Cubes." At that moment, Simon remarked that he'll be "altering" his face again. Viewers were amused by Simon's jab at himself and responded with crying laughing and skull emoticons on Twitter.

Simon Cowell may be notorious for giving unforgiving advice to aspiring superstars on his television talent program. However, the music mogul-turned-multimillionaire stated that he would not be where he is today without his father's early guidance. This week, while speaking at an event in London, the British entrepreneur recalled receiving the advice from his father when he was 12 years old.

According to Cowell, who, by his own admission, is "talentless," this instruction shaped his wildly successful career. At the age of 16, he began working in the mail department of the music publishing company EMI Music, where he says he became interested in everyone's work and gained more knowledge about the industry.
