Rammstein broke its silence after a woman claimed she was drugged at a party before the band's Lithuania concert.
Fans witnessed Rammstein as it unveiled its European Stadium Tour 2023, which started in Vilnius. The band will then visit more cities and venues in the next few weeks, including Odense, Munich, Bern, Budapest, Berlin, and Brussels, among others.
However, the European leg hit a glitch after a woman claimed she was drugged at a party before a scheduled concert.
Rammstein Responds to Claims
On Sunday, Rammstein responded to the allegations revealing that, while it was unaware of any official investigations, it could rule out the claims that reportedly happened before its concert.
"With regard to the allegations circulating on the internet about Vilnius, we can rule out the possibility that what is being claimed took place in our environment," the band wrote. "We are not aware of any official investigations into this matter."
Rammstein also penned the announcement in German and has since turned off commenting on the post. It remains unknown what the band's next step will be, or if it will launch legal actions or investigation into the matter.
What The Fan Claimed
The buzz started when a Reddit user named Shelby69666 posted the allegation on Ramsstein's Reddit page on May 23 and added the title, "F**k Rammstein." She shared the post alongside a photo of her large bruise, saying that she had no idea when it happened since she was "spiked."
She then took to Twitter to detail what happened after getting an invitation from Aleen Makeeva to watch the show in Row 0. She revealed that she messaged the user a week before the alleged incident to ask her how to be part of the afterparty.
After sharing her age and location, she received a link to a WhatsApp group. According to several users on Reddit, Makeeva tours with the band and connects the members with female fans who want to watch the show in the front row and attend the before and after parties.
Shelby's tweets revealed that she was invited to an exclusive party where they had to leave their phones on a table and make drinks with the alcohol given to them. She disclosed that she only had two drinks, but she immediately felt intoxicated.
Reddit has since removed the thread, with a user explaining that the claim was baseless and that the accusation was fake.
