Tina Turner survived Ike Turner's domestic abuse, her health issues, and her sons' deaths before her demise. After all that happened, she credited one person for helping her get through it.
In the years leading to her death, Turner's struggles had been known to the public. While she was dealing with her health issues, she also suffered when her sons Ronnie and Craig died.
Tina Turner "Saved" By This Person
The iconic singer's tour stylist recently opened up about Turner following her death on May 24 at the age of 83.
In an exclusive interview with People, Wayne Lukas noted how the crooner's second husband, music executive Erwin Bach, played a huge role in her life amid her issues. Bach also donated one of his kidneys to save his wife.
"This all happened within a couple of years of things. These are the loves of her life," the tour stylist said. "I don't how she sustained [amid her health issues]. I don't know how she did it other than the love of Erwin Bach because he really did love her."

She recalled seeing Turner attend the "Tina - The Tina Turner Musical" in 2018. The same year, the singer lost her son Craig after he was found dead at his Studio City home in California from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, as confirmed by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner.
Turner's youngest son, Ronnie, died in 2022 at the age of 62 due to complications from colon cancer.
While enduring the heartbreak of losing her children, Turner also carried the weight of her own health issues, including hypertension, stroke, intestinal cancer, and total kidney failure.
Tina Turner Felt Glad She Met Erwin Bach
Turner and Bach met in 1985 and tied the knot in 2013, although they started living together in Switzerland in 1994.
She penned in her 2020 memoir "Happiness Becomes You" that she found hope amid her medical adventure when she met Bach. She also looked back at her abusive marriage with Ike Turner and how it almost destroyed her.
But as Turner decided to keep going, she understood why she went through it all.
"I can look back and understand why my karma was the way it was. Good came out of bad. Joy came out of pain," she said. "And I have never been so completely happy as I am today."
