Kanye West is facing another lawsuit amid his yet-to-be-solved legal battles.

West has been hit with another legal case after a celebrity photographer sued him for assault and battery after a confrontation in January. The paparazzo, named Nichol Lechmanik, announced the filing with Gloria Allred.

Kanye West Sued For Assault, Battery

During a press conference on Thursday, the photographer confirmed to the public that she filed a lawsuit against West, who now goes by the name Ye. Per Lechmanik, the incident was "traumatic" to her.

"He reached into my car as if he was going to hit me. He grabbed my phone out of my hand and then angrily threw it into the street," the paparazzo said, as quoted by AllHipHop. "He caused me so much fear, I have not been able to be the same since then. His actions have interfered with my ability to work."

Lechmanik sued the artist for assault, battery, negligence, and interfering with her civil rights after he commanded her to stop filming on Jan. 27. At that time, West was attending a sporting event with Kim Kardashian at Sports Academy in Newbury Park, California.

She stated in the complaint that she drove closer after noticing West and another photographer seemingly having a heated interaction near the facility.

A video of the incident has since gone viral, according to several reports.

Previously, the Ventura Country District Attorney's Office declined to pursue criminal charges against the "Jesus Is King" rapper. However, Lechmanik's representative revealed that the photographer pursued civil action as she wanted justice.

Kanye West Has History of Assault

Allred told the reporters present during the press conference that West already has an infamous history of assaulting photographers and that they now want him to be held accountable for his actions.

For what it's worth, the attorney previously represented another photographer who was a victim of West's assault. The man, named Daniel Ramos, sued the rapper in 2013 after he allegedly assaulted him outside the Los Angeles International Airport but reached a settlement with him eventually, Reuters reported.

West was also arrested in the UK after assaulting a person outside a nightclub in 2008. Per Billboard, he was released without charge.

"We are bringing this case because Nicole wants Ye to know that what he is doing to photographers is wrong," Allred said of Lechmanik's case. "And in Nicole's case, it was harmful to her physically, emotionally and financially."
