A former personal assistant to renowned DJ Paul Oakenfold has taken action for sexual harassment and workplace violations.
According to an article in the New York Post, Jane Roe, 24 years old, filed the lawsuit on Friday in LA Superior Court.
The British trance DJ is facing legal action, reports Deadline, with a then-23-year-old employee alleging that he exposed himself and touched her inappropriately on four different occasions.
At the same time, she worked as his assistant in his residence.
The woman is now bringing legal action against two companies managed by the DJ, his manager Paul Stepanek, and other undisclosed individuals for breaching her rights as an employee.
In addition to this, the plaintiff is claiming more than $25,000 in damages from five separate charges.
In October 2022, New Frequency employed Jane to serve as personal assistant to Paul at $20 per hour, according to the suit.
From the outset, Paul reportedly cornered her and exposed himself lewdly while they were alone at his residence.
In November 2022, the DJ did this four times during the same date. It is also alleged that he performed the indecent act in her vehicle, ''opening his legs wide and stimulating himself with plaintiff only inches away,'' according to court documents.
On November 29, 2022, Jane made her grievances known to the management team; however, two days later, they asked her to sign a non-disclosure agreement. Refusing to do so resulted in being unable to return to work and even receiving threats of termination.
Eventually, under pressure from her employer, she signed an NDA despite her reservations. This did not resolve her conflict with Paul, however, as she was instead reassigned to other clients and consequently had her regular working hours drastically reduced.
Ultimately, it was March 2023 when she sadly found herself out of a job.

According to court documents, her dismissal was due to an "absence of work." However, her lawsuit stated that the valid reason for the termination resulted from her complaints about sexual harassment - which is a clear breach of statutory law.
