Taylor Swift's surprise songs are the most anticipated performances of her "The Eras" tour. For the past few months, she has performed songs from her previous albums.
However, for the second night of her three-day Chicago stops, Swift performed a surprise song that really surprised her fans!
Taylor Swift 'I Don't Wanna Live Forever' Surprise Song
After performing "You All Over Me" with Maren Morris, Swift moved to the piano and surprised everyone with a cover of "I Don't Wanna Live Forever," a song she collaborated with Zayn Malik in 2017 for "Fifty Shades Darker: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack." (via Pitchfork)
The acoustic cover of "I Don't Wanna Live Forever," however, did not include Malik as Swift only performed a slow, acoustic cover of it.
"I just wanna keep calling your name, until you come back home," she sang. "Wondering if I dodged a bullet or just lost the love of my life?"
Others seemed to point out that during the last line, Taylor Swift's voice began to break as her mouth quivered.
The song was released in 2017 and marked the first and only collaboration she had with Malik, who was the boyfriend of her best friend Gigi Hadid. Malik was the only One Direction member Swift had collaborated with in her music career so far, despite being in a relationship with Harry Styles.
Other Taylor Swift Soundtracks Possible As 'The Eras' Surprise Songs?
Meanwhile, Swifties expressed their surprise online - blowing their minds that Swift would be open to doing songs she performed or wrote for movies and other media.
Among the popular choices was "Safe & Sound," a song that was included in "The Hunger Games," which was then re-released on "Red (Taylor's Version)."
Aside from this, "Crazier" was also one of the many suggestions. She performed and wrote this song for "Hannah Montana: The Movie," in which she also appears.
The two were among the most popular songs of her that were included in a soundtrack.
Last year, she was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Original song for "Carolina," a song she released for "Where The Crawdads Sing." However, she lost to "Naatu, Naatu from "RRR."
