Unbeknownst to many, Taylor Swift and Emma Stone are good friends. They have been close friends since they first met each other in 2008, back then when Swift was just a burgeoning country music star and Stone was just starting off.
Fast-forward to today, the two are accomplished artists on their own. Stone has an Academy Award, among many other acting trophies, well; Swift dominates the music industry single-handedly.
Emma Stone, Taylor Swift Friendship Explored
According to People Magazine, Taylor Swift and Emma Stone first met in April 2008 at the Young Hollywood Awards. Since then, they became good friends, hanging out together and eating ice cream.
In 2011, in an MTV interview, Stone revealed that she was the first few people that heard "Speak Now."
"I was lucky enough to hear it pretty early on, so it's so exciting for it to be out and own the songs instead of just be singing them [in my head]," she said at the time.
Eventually, they went on to meet at various celebrity gatherings, including the Met Gala, the Oscars Vanity Fair After Party, and the Teen Choice Awards, among many others.
But most recently, Stone attended the opening night of "The Eras" tour in Glendale, Arizona, near her actual hometown in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Emma Stone Gushed About Taylor Swift Friendship
In an interview with Vanity Fair, the Academy Award-winning actress talked about her experience at "The Eras" tour.
"The concert was pretty amazing. I was lucky 'cause we've been friends for a really long time. I've known her since we were 17 and 18, so she hooked me up, which was very nice 'cause I know those tickets are impossible to get," she told the publication.
Stone went on to describe Swift as a "wonderful friend," a person who "blows" her mind. The actress attended the opening night of the historic tour, in which Swift performed for more than three hours with a 44-song setlist. According to Emma Stone, she has "never seen anything like it."
Notably, Emma Stone has some singing chops up in her belt. She didn't win an Oscar for Best Actress in the movie musical "La La Land" for nothing. When asked by Vanity Fair if they would collaborate, Stone had a firm answer.
"Oh, God, hell no! I can't sing, like, for a massive stadium. Let's not even go down that road. She has insane talent -- I could never do what she does."
