Geezer Butler addressed his current relationship with his Black Sabbath bandmate Ozzy Osbourne in his newly-released memoir.

Titled "Into The Void: From Birth To Black Sabbath - And Beyond," Butler opened up about Black Sabbath's tumultuous career until the original band members decided to have reunion shows and tour. The band officially held its last tour, "The End," in 2011 after Tony Iommi was diagnosed with Lymphoma.

Are Geezer Butler, Ozzy Osbourne on Good Terms?

Even after Black Sabbath's reunion tour, Butler assured fans that the members never developed bad blood against one another. However, he revealed the real reason why he no longer talks to Osbourne.

In Butler's book, he shared that he and Osbourne are fine but they are "both ruled" by their wives. He did not detail what happened, but Butler noted that his bandmate was always there for him whenever he needed him.

He said the same sentiment in his new interview with Ultimate Classic Rock and Culture, disclosing that he doubts they will reconnect again at some point because of their wives. Despite that, he insisted again that they did not fall out.

The news outlet also asked him about his relationship with Iommi, as he mentioned in the acknowledgments that his bandmate "still keeps in touch."

"You have terrible arguments, you fall out and you come back together. But he's always there. He always is. I hope he is after this book as well," he went on. "I still love Bill [Ward], but he's not on the internet. If you want to talk to Bill, you have to email his wife and she has to tell him. It's really awkward."

How Did Geezer Butler and Ozzy Osbourne Meet?

Butler and Osbourne's friendship started when the former Black Sabbath frontman placed an ad at a music shop in Birmingham. Butler, Iommi, and Ward found it, and it led to the formation of Pola Tulk Blues Band - which was renamed Black Sabbath a few years later.

In an interview with Music Radar, Butler recalled his first impression of Osbourne, saying he was not "the full shilling." He soon found him perfect for his band.

The band went on to perform for 49 years until the members decided to split.
